Editorial Standards
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Women in C.R.C is a regional editorial and research platform. Credibility is our most important asset. These standards describe how we source, verify, attribute, and publish our work, and how readers can hold us to account.
1. Independence
Our editorial decisions are made by the editorial team of Women in C.R.C. We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or gifts in exchange for coverage. Content is not for sale. Advertising and sponsorship, where permitted, are clearly marked and are never sold in a way that could influence editorial choices.
2. Sourcing
We rely on named sources wherever possible. Where anonymity is required to protect a source, we identify their standing (for example, "a senior official in the ministry"), and the reasons for anonymity are known to the editors. We corroborate significant claims with at least two independent sources or documentary evidence.
3. Chatham House rule roundtables
Our roundtables operate under the Chatham House rule. Participants may use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker, nor that of any other participant, is revealed. Outputs published from roundtables respect this rule.
4. Verification
Facts, figures, and quotations are verified before publication. When we cite research, data, or public statements, we link to the original source where possible. We are careful with translated material and note any translation.
5. Conflicts of interest
Contributors disclose relevant professional, financial, or personal interests that could affect the credibility of their work. These are noted in the byline or an editor's note when material.
6. Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it. Significant corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date of correction. Minor typographical corrections may be made without notation. To flag an error, write to contact@carthage-consulting.com.
7. Rights, dignity, and safety
We do not publish content that incites hatred, that is defamatory, or that puts named individuals at risk without an overriding public interest. We take particular care with content involving conflict, strategic affairs, women's rights, and personal safety.
8. AI assisted work
We may use AI tools to support research, drafting, transcription, or design. Editorial responsibility, including verification and final decisions on publication, rests with a named editor. AI is not a substitute for reporting or source work, and we disclose when a piece is substantially machine generated.
9. Privacy of contributors and sources
We protect the identity of sources who require confidentiality and handle their information consistent with our Privacy Policy.
10. Rights and republication
Copyright in our content is set out in our Terms of Use. Requests to republish, translate, or syndicate should be sent to contact@carthage-consulting.com.
